Honestly, do we really need to break down who RAKIM is and what he's done for HIP HOP and music in general? Didn't think so but just in case.
Here you go: Rakim is an American rapper and pioneer of the musical genre of hip hop. He is consistently cited as one of the most skilled (and top amongst the most influential) MCs of all time due to his exceptional flow and complex lyrical craftsmanship.
Rakim revolutionized hip-hop lyricism with his complex flow, elaborate metaphors and rapid delivery. Rakim is probably one of the most revered rappers alive, and undoubtedly one of the greatest!

We are proud to announce our newest artist to our roster TAVANA. Over the last 3 years Tavana has performed 700 + shows on the Hawaiian Islands. Tavanas blend of singer/songwriter, acoustic-blues-roots has been rapidly grabbing the attention of listeners throughout the island chain. By showcasing his live music 7 nights a week for months on end in Waikiki the heart of Honolulu he has sent many of Hawaii's visitors home feeling a long awaited fresh sound in their ears. Tavanas tedious work ethic and innovative sound has gained him extensive radio play of original music like Vanster Hop, Warrior Song, and Still They Want More quickly gaining momentum among Hawaii's local scene. Now carrying this momentum to the continental U.S. Tavana's exciting new sound is captivating audiences nationally. He is here in the great city of AUSTIN TEXAS the Music Capital! He is bringing Austin, Texas the best of acoustic-blues-roots and playing nightly at all of the best spots in Austin. Come and see him in action!

J.Cole is Jay- Z’s RocNation recording label’s 1st artist. Both Rapper and Producer, born Jermaine Cole in Fankfurt, Germany, he was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina by his mother. At the age of 12 he was exposed to the realm of rapping. Taught the basics of rhyming in conjunction with influenced styles from such artists as Tupac, Nas and Outkast, J. Cole eagerly took up writing at the age of 15. Graduating high school in 2003 with a 3.82, Cole traveled to New York with a dream of getting signed and making it big.

To have the means to travel and maintain in the heavily concentrated music haven, he used college. He attented St. John University on an academic scholarship while still working on his music.
After graduating from college he dropped his first mixtape “The Come Up” (2007). Still not being signed paired with more time to dedicate to his music, his pursuit for a recording deal was more fervent than ever.
While working on his second mixtape “The Warm Up” (2009), Jay-Z caught word of this up and coming star. Before the release of “The Warm Up” Cole was introduced to Jay-Z in which he performed “Lights Please” for the rap mogul. Jay-Z was impressed, signing Cole and making him RocNation’s 1st artist.

September of 2009 J. Cole debut feature on Jay-Z’s album “The Blueprint 3″, was released (Sept 08, 2009) contributing to his quick rise to fame. Not too long after, it was announced that J. Cole would be the centerpiece for clothing line, Jimmy Jazz, “Fresh For Fall” collection.

Formed in 1983 by the now infamous Frazier brothers, the band has evolved from playing the streets of the French Quarter to playing festivals and stages all over the world. Rebirth is committed to upholding the tradition of brass bands while at the same time incorporating modern music into their show. Their signature brand of heavy funk has not only won over several generations of music lovers, it has become the soundtrack to an entire city."
Hosted by Zeale with an opening set by Tavana, the night will be closed out by DJ's ORION and KID SLYCE. GREAT LIVE MUSIC followed by a few of our favorite local performers equals a can't miss night.
